Tai D. Kreidler, Ph.D.

Tai is the Co-Director of the Southwest
Collection/Special Collections Library (SWC/SCL) at Texas Tech University
(TTU) and Executive Director of the West Texas Historical Association.
He is also an Adjunct Professor in the TTU History Department and
a Faculty Associate for the TTU Center for the Southwest.
In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees
for the College Baseball Foundation Tai is active in several professional
organizations, including the Society for Southwest Archivists, the
Texas State Historical Association and the West Texas Historical
Association for whom he has served as program chair, board member
and associate editor. He is also the Book Review Editor and former
president and vice president of the Texas Oral History Association.
Recently, Tai served on the Local Program committee for the North
American Society for Sports History (NASSH) Conference that was
held in Lubbock.
Tai has spent nearly 25-years as an archivist
and educator, and during that time has helped locate and deposit
many document collections in the SWC/SCL at TTU. These include the
Records of the Southwest Conference and the New Orleans Saints.
In addition to his archival duties, Tai’s professional work
experience is directly connected to public history activities that
include architectural field work, formulation and completion of
oral history projects, and consulting/advisory services for various
historical and museum service groups.
Tai has authored numerous articles and contributed
to various books on Texas history, the oil and gas industry, women’s
history, and sports.
In addition to a B. A., M.A., Tai also holds
a Ph.D. Degree. Born in Levelland, Texas, Tai lives in Lubbock,
Texas.

Thomas M. Reilly, MD

Dr. Thomas Reilly practices
Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine in Bakersfield, California
as a partner and a Medical Director of Emergency Medical Group,
Inc. In addition, Dr. Reilly was an instructor for Internal Medicine
for the Residents of USC County Medical Center from 1992 –
1993 and continues to lecture on drug and alcohol abuse. Dr. Reilly
has presented on Toxicology and Forensic Urine Drug Testing and
other topics.

Linda M. Swick

It is no accident that James
Bond used Motorola Radios to capture the villains, or that Emmy-winner
Teri Hatcher drives a Volvo in the hit television show, Desperate
Housewives. It is no coincidence that Charlie Sheen drinks Corona
Beer in his hit series Two and a Half Men, or that Jerry Seinfeld
wrote episodes around a Saab 900 for his Emmy-winning series.
For the past eighteen years,
Linda Swick, President of International Promotions (IP), has led
a team that represents corporate clients providing brand integrations
for their products in top-grossing feature films and primetime
television programs. International Promotions is involved with
productions worldwide, including Europe, Australia and Asia. Linda’s
team partners with major studios, to provide cross-promotional
marketing opportunities for their clients, such as the current
multi-million dollar success of the Volvo and Pirates of the Caribbean:
Dead Man’s Chest national promotion. IP has worked with
some of Hollywood’s most prominent directors and producers,
including Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy on “Jurassic
Park, The Lost World” where they launched Nextel’s
latest technology. In addition, IP’s innovative approach
to entertainment marketing also enticed both Ron Howard and then,
Bruce Willis to endorse one of their major clients in a promotional
video, which were directed by Ms. Swick.
After graduating from the
University of Southern California, Ms. Swick worked in casting
and helped discover talents such as Patrick Duffy and Mark Harmon.
She worked for a talent agent, representing Chuck Norris and Joe
Fraser. She started International Promotions in 1989 and has made
a career of making stars out of her clients’ products.
Ms. Swick has served on the
Board of Directors for the Entertainment Resources Marketing Association
and sits on the Board of Advisors for Identive Technology and
Merlin TV. She is consulted as an industry source for many publications
including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and The
Los Angeles Times, among others.
Ms. Swick resides in
La Canada, California with her husband Chuck of seventeen years
and her two sons, Kevin and Daniel.

Doug A. Vermillion, MD

Dr. Vermillion is board certified
in Orthopaedic Surgery and has completed fellowship training in
Joint Restoration. He is one of the only surgeons in Alaska that
performs minimal incision total knee replacements (arthroplasty).
He also has a strong background in Sports Medicine and this interest
has led him to become one of the most experienced cartilage restoration
surgeons in the nation. Dr. Vermillion is currently working to
refine new techniques that utilize biotechnology to replace normal
cartilage as well as developing new techniques for limb alignment
procedures that are essential in joint restoration.
Dr. Vermillion served in
the military for over 21 years. Prior to going to medical school
he served as an infantryman and was selected to be on the United
States Modern Pentathlon Team. He knows what it is like to have
injuries and always seeks to get patients back to their highest
functional level possible. “All medical care should be individualized
to a patient’s functional level, medical condition, and
personal choice.”

LTC Steve D. Vermillion
US Army (Retired)

Steve Vermillion, at
age 20, served as an Aircraft Commander of an unarmed Dustoff
Helicopter in Vietnam during 1969. He flew 1127 hours of combat
time which comprised 1450 missions. Steve and his various crewmembers
accounted for the rescue of 2210 soldiers. Steve's combat awards
include the Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, 29 awards
of the Air Medal and an Air Medal awarded for valor. Steve continued
his military career after returning from Vietnam. Steve accepted
a direct commission from Chief Warrant Officer 2 to First Lieutenant.
After having served his country throughout the world and in a
variety of complex assignments, Steve retired in 1993 as a Lieutenant
Colonel. He is currently employed in the private business sector.
Steve has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics,
and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He serves as
a board member for In The Shadow of The Blade, Inc, Austin, Texas,
The Vietnam Dustoff Association and the Distinguished Flying Cross
Society, Northwest Chapter. In his spare time, Steve teaches graduate
level aviation courses for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
extension campuses. He and his wife currently reside in Puyallup,
