A thirty-year personal career that is results-oriented with success achieved in a wide range of demanding positions with increasing managerial responsibility in highly competitive and diverse organizations. Visionary leader with extensive training program development and project management skills, that fosters teamwork and innovation and through the use of Quality improvement processes.

Extensive training and training management skills encompassing a wide spectrum of programs and projects. A leader who has strong communication skills and is customer focused. Highest ethical and professional standards. Award winning author, educator; leader; trainer and, public speaker. Current Secret Clearance.

At age 20, served as an Aircraft Commander of an unarmed Dustoff Helicopter in Vietnam during 1969. He flew 1127 hours of combat time which comprised 1450 missions. Steve and his various crewmembers accounted for the rescue of 2210 soldiers. Steve's combat awards include the Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, 29 awards of the Air Medal and an Air Medal awarded for valor. Steve continued his military career after returning from Vietnam. Steve accepted a direct commission from Chief Warrant Officer 2 to First Lieutenant.

After having served his country throughout the world and in a variety of complex assignments, Steve retired in 1993 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He is currently employed in the private business sector. Steve has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He serves as a board member for In The Shadow of The Blade, Inc, Austin, Texas, The Vietnam Dustoff Association and the Distinguished Flying Cross Society, Northwest Chapter.

In his spare time, Steve teaches graduate level aviation courses for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University extension campuses. He and his wife currently reside in Puyallup, Washington.

Professional Development and Training Support: Steve has more than thirty years experience teaching leadership, communications, team development, conflict resolution, managing change, stress management and performance coaching. He is certified as an Interact Profile trainer. The INTERACT is an excellent tool to help people explore and understand their uniqueness. Based on their natural (preferred) behavioral style, they will gain insight on what their personal characteristics are supporting, driving, analyzing and promoting, what is important to them, what they are influenced by logic, support, etc; how they are motivated, what they seek productivity, recognition, relationships, etc; how they react when under stress, how they communicate, how they make decisions, and what areas they need to improve upon. Steve also taught Aviation Human Factors at the college graduate level and can provide training in: Leadership, communications, conflict resolution; Human Senses/Perception; Human Performance–cognitive processes; Decision Making; Situational Leadership; Physical Performance; Human Error; Crew Resource Management training–human relations/interaction; Systems Safety; and, Workplace Ergonomics.
