About iNARTE
iNARTE (i-NAR-tee) is a worldwide, non-profit, professional organization which certifies professional engineers and technicians in the fields of Telecommunications, EMC, ESD and Unlicensed Wireless Systems Installation.
Candidates are evaluated by verifiable measures including, as appropriate, examination, experiential and educational background and reputation for unquestioned competency within their specified expertise. iNARTE develops certification criteria, testing tools and study material which accommodate the evolution of the telecommunications industry.
iNARTE is governed by a membership elected Board of Directors (12) and four (4) officers, each with exceptional expertise and experience in the telecommunications, EMC and/or ESD fields, who serve the membership. This governing Board receives no compensation in any form. Policy is formed at the Board level and promulgated to the iNARTE Executive Director for implementation. Directors and Officers hold a current iNARTE Master Class certification, EMC and/or ESD certification.
Telecommunications Telecommunications is the science and technology of communication (as opposed to processing of information) at a distance by electronic transmission of impulses, such as by telegraph, cable, telephone, radio, or television. iNARTE's Telecom certification is applicable to professionals practicing a wide range of telecommunications disciplines, including photonic systems, PCS/PCN, cellular, satellite, LAN, WAN and many more. Experience required: 2 years for Junior level, 6 years for Senior level, 8 or more years for Master level.
Unlicensed Wireless Systems Installation Wireless certification applies to engineers and technicians who design and install unlicensed wireless systems. This program has been established by iNARTE to meet industry demands for a credential which distinguishes from marginally to fully qualified design and installation personnel for wireless systems which do not require a license from the FCC. Experience required: 6 years for Technician, 9 years for Engineer.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC/EMI) EMC certification is applicable to professional engineers and technicians practicing in EMC fields to include bonding, shielding, grounding, EMI prediction, EMI analysis, conducted and radiated interference, lightning protection and more. Experience required: 6 years for Technician, 9 years for Engineer.
Electrostatic Discharge Control (ESD) ESD certification is appropriate for engineers and technicians whose training and experience have primarily focused on problems, engineering design and corrective measures associated with minimizing or eliminating electrostatic discharge. Experience required: 6 years for Technician, 9 years for Engineer.
Product
Safety Product Safety certification focuses on engineering and
practice to reduce types of risk to persons, animals and property
that have to be covered by a formal hazard analysis to meet the
requirements of the relevant legislation. The ability to effectively
manage product safety in design, manufacture, installation and operational
use is a mandatory requirement of all world-wide product safety
legislation. Experience required: 6 years for Technician, 9 years
for Engineer.
