| Founded in 1999 by Bob
Vermillion, RMV Technology Group, LLC is a member of the American
Council of Independent Laboratories (ACIL) and the American National
Standards Institute (ANSI). Bob holds dual Certification as an ESD
Control Engineer and Product Safety Engineer with the National Association
of Telecommunications Engineers (NARTE). A Certified Packaging Professional
(CPP) with the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IOPP) and a member
of their Consultants Council, Bob has been actively engaged in ESD
testing and consulting since 1984. Bob
has developed advanced ESD technologies for a US patent with several
patents pending. One of Bob’s developments has been qualified
for a NASA Mars Mission.
From 1996 to 2003, Bob served on the board
with the Silicon Valley ESD Society. As a Speaker for ESDiscovery
2000-2003 in the USA, Malaysia and Singapore, Bob also conducted
ESD Material & Packaging Seminars in China, Taiwan, Mexico and
the Philippines for the past several years. In 2005, Bob joined
the advisory board of Controlled Environments Cleanroom Magazine
followed by an invitation to join the Advisory Board for the Annual
Inherently Conductive Polymer Conferences. Having published extensively
in the field of Electrostatics since 1997, Bob’s articles
discuss ESD issues in the cleanroom, ESD Test Methods, ESD Packaging
& Materials, Evaluation Procedures and Supplier Conformance.
Bob is a Guest ESD Instructor for San Jose State University, California
State Polytechnic University and Clemson University.
During the 25th Anniversary for the
2003 ESD International Symposium, Bob was recognized for his contributions
to the ESD Association. As a member of the ESDA Packaging Workgroup,
Bob co-authored the ESD Materials & Packaging Standard, ANSI/ESD
S541-2003. In 2002, Bob was recipient of the Institute of Packaging
Professional’s AmeriStar Award for the most outstanding package
in the electronics category for the USA. Bob has a B.S. Degree in
Engineering.
