“Advanced Level Electrostatic Field & FIM Discharge Measurements to Combat the Hazards of Tribolectrification for Manned & Unmanned Missions in Exploration of the Charged Generating Low RH Environments on the Surface of Mars”

RMV uses advanced ESD instrumentation to conduct a facility assessment in the factory or ESD Events at Machine Centercontrolled environment. Auditing a facility requires measuring the elements that compose an ESD Protected Area (Equipment Centers to Workstations). As a 3rd party laboratory, RMV has an arsenal of instrumentation to utilize for a walk through assessment, comprehensive evaluation or detailed audit to meet your corporate or industry driven objectives.

A recommended practice is to ask a potential consultant for a list of ESD equipment that will be utilized at your facility.

Rate Floor for Charge Generation

RMV Technology Group employs a range of sophisticated advanced level instrumentation (manufacturer calibrated on a yearly basis as opposed to self calibration that may not parallel OEM requirements) in order to accurately evaluate and troubleshoot issues with materials, equipment centers that require validation or corrective actions by the end user.

ESD safe flooring and footwear (while using the proper procedures for performance) will insure that personnel are not contributors to tribocharge generation.

An ESD audit represents an excellent opportunity for a well-equipped auditor to evaluate products and materials in the field. An audit that includes physical measurements can also validate materials for conformance.

It is important not only to conduct resistance and voltage measurements beyond a ESD Events at Machine Centerconventional field meter, but also to map the areas for ESD events, electrostatic fields
and charge.

The control of electrostatic fields and events can be a most difficult task. However, the use of ESD testing protocols and a thorough understanding of ESD material characteristics beyond simple resistance measurements can assist in the development of an ESD Preventative Program that incorporates sound procedures for qualifying static control products and materials.
