RMV Technology Group LLC, a NASA Industry Partner, in partnership with Exemplar Global, 3rd party international certification body and member of the American Society of Quality (ASQ) family of companies, has developed a series of uniquely developed iNARTE® Space & Defense RTP Certified Micro courses for Industry, Government and Academia.

In 2018, the very successful iNARTE® Space & Defense certification program was exclusively developed by RMV in collaboration with Exemplar Global for NASA, DoW, DOE and support contractors in support of our nation and the WarFighter.

Both programs provide SME innovative training in a short course platform or for career advancement of the engineer, technician, logistics specialist, quality assurance, or procurement analyst from the internationally recognized leadership team of RMV Subject Matter Experts for Space & Defense.

iNARTE® Space & Defense ESD Polymer Reliability for Verification & Long-Term Storage, an RTP Certified Training Course™

iNARTE® 4-Hour Product Reliability of Antistats and Advanced Polymers (IDPs, ICPs, CNTs) for Verification testing and Long Term Storage™ is intended for the engineer, technician, quality or innovator that designs, stores, transports, manufactures or repairs Optics, Armaments, UAVs, Drones and CubeSats that encapsulate or house ESD sensitive circuit card assemblies or ESD sensitive devices (ESDS).

One will learn application specific testing and evaluation methods for product reliability in harsh environments at risk from tribocharging and ESD events. NASA-STD-8739.6B, Section 7, related Military Standards and ANSI/ESD Standards are included for this course.

Advanced polymers for material approval includes Form & Fit, JEDEC trays, Prototyping, Tape & Reel, Dip Tubes, Thermoforming, Vacuum forming and Additive Manufacturing. ESD Test Protocols for flexible polymer trays, hard cases and totes will be covered and relevant ESD Standards that apply for qualification.

Case histories of traditional polymers in use for manufacturing, storage and transport and proven solutions for engineered polymers will also be presented.

iNARTE® Space & Defense CubeSat Engineering Compliance, an RTP Certified Training Course™

Vermillion’s innovative presentations for the 2024 Cal Poly CubeSat Developer Workshop and Auburn University SmallSat Program have evolved into a short course for ESD Compliance of space-bound materials. Learn how to reduce the risk of field induced model discharges (FIM) during deployment that kills ESD sensitive devices in SmallSats.

The NEW 4--hour iNARTE® course is intended for NASA, DoD, US Military Academies and the SmallSat sector to learn how to mitigate damage or failure of CubeSats during launch and deployment by incorporating ESD requirements for extreme conditions and low RH of low earth orbit (LEO) for CubeSat builds..

ESD/ESA electrostatic attraction and CubeSat Integrity, Equipment Standards, Reliability, Low RH ESD Testing Methods and correct usage of ESD Instrumentation and Case Studies are presented. Current ESD Assessment Practices are reviewed for NASA-STD-8739,6B, relevant MIL.STD. and ANSI/ESD Standards to ensure more success after deployment by NASA and DoD in collaboration with SBIR/STTR CubeSat awardees.

iNARTE® Space & Defense GOCO Safety Training, an RTP Certified Training Course ™
Virtual, On-Site at RMV or Your Facility for Government and Federal Contractors only.

The 1-day comprehensive technology-driven, hands-on safety training course is intended for US Army and Navy plus JMC operated Government Owned, Contractor Operated (GOCO) facilities. For personnel safety, relevant Industry practices, some OSHA and DoD Safety Requirements are disruptively challenged with technology solutions for the workforce and for national security.

The NEW iNARTE® Army/Navy Certified Course Training is a much needed training update beyond OSHA online courses for GOCO to safely package, handle, store and transport munitions. PPE usage in potentially explosive conditions is not stated except for recently required employer-provided correct garment sizes by OSHA.

Engineers, Safety and Logistics Specialists that supervise, package, handle, store and transport munitions or energetics will learn how to lower risk of ignition in volatile environments, slow to adopt by government for personnel safety.

Course content includes risk mitigation solutions for ESD materials, packaging, PPE risks, handling practices, storage and transport of munitions for personnel safety beyond questionable legacy Government requirements. Successful course completion includes crucial updating of select Industry and Government Standards for personnel safety.

This course is limited to DoD, DOE, NASA and support contractors.

With iNARTE® certification by an International Accreditation Body, Exemplar Global/ASQ, RMV exclusively conducts the iNARTE® Certified AeroSpace & Defense ESD Engineer/Technician professional credentials at NASA Ames Research Center.

This 5-Day on-site course was designed and developed by RMV (the Creator of Hands-On ESD Space & Defense Training) in cooperation with NASA for US civil servants and support contractors for NASA, DoD, MDA, DOE and other Federal Contractors.

Multiple sessions over 5 days, onsite at 8 hours per day with breaks, videos, live demos and experiments in NASA labs and the RMV ESD Lab for interactive engagement.

Hands-On Training of ESD Instrumentation to certify and verify the ESD protective area (EPA) is physically demonstrated with individual participation. The last day includes a comprehensive review, a “Hands On” Instrument exam to verify your learning skills by RMV and a remote iNARTE® exam, administered remotely by Exemplar Global, 3rd party certification body and member of the American Society of Quality (ASQ) family of companies. A Certificate for framing and Digital Badge is provided to share your credentials and achievements online through Exemplar Global.

3-Day iNARTE® Space & Defense Certified ESD Program Monitor Training™

This course was designed and developed by RMV (the Originator of 2021 NASA HQ Award Winning VIRTUAL Hands-On ESD Training) for NASA, DoD and support contractors who support Space & Defense, Industry Standards (ANSI/ESD S20.20) and Military Standards for low RH and extreme environments.

Multiple sessions over 3 days include videos, live demos and experiments in the RMV Lab for interactive engagement. Learn how to verify Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D and Do No Harm R&D safe workstations, how to prepare for Space, DoD or Commercial SMA assessments, how to conduct periodic verification measurements and corrective actions to remedy non-compliant materials, packaging, or products in the ESD Protective Area (EPA).

ESD procedures for compliance will be presented plus demos in support of ANSI/ESD S20.20 Standards, including Surface Resistance, Resistance to Ground and Point to Point Floor verification, Resistance to a Groundable Point for ESD workstations, wrist straps, ionization verification, grounding, garments, gloves, soldering irons, for Space & Defense that require ESD integrity in low RH and extreme conditions.

The iNARTE® Certified ESD Space & Defense ESD Program Monitor course is intended for Engineering, Quality and Technicians. Exemplar Global, member of ASQ family of companies in collaboration with RMV Space & Defense Training Directorate provides 3rd party certification for professional development of ESD Program Monitors.

NASA-STD-8739.6B, Section 7, relevant ANSI/ESD Standards (ANSI/ESDS 20.20) and Military Standards are included in the Virtual or On-Site training venue.

Proper work practices, packaging & handling protocols combined with a clear understanding of the source and control of static charges in the ESD Protective Area (EPA) are presented in an engaging and interactive format brought to you “Live” from the RMV Laboratory at NASA Ames Research Park, with experiments, demos and videos.

Designed for the Individual that works in the lab, factory, high bay, cleanroom, assembly, R&D, Repair Depots, In-Theatre, Warehousing, or Incoming Inspection that transports, packages, assembles, inspects, tests, kits, stores or handles ESD circuit card assemblies or ESD Sensitive Devices (EEE Parts). NASA-STD-8739.6B, Section 7, relevant ANSI/ESD Standards (ANSI/ESDS 20.20) and Military Standards are included in the Virtual or On-Site training venue.

Proper Packaging, Material Handling protocols, Long-Term Storage, Transport and Repair Returns with a clear understanding of the source and control of static charges in-theatre and the ESD Protected Area (EPA) are presented in an interactive format. Also included are proper protocols and designs for IC Carriers (DIP Tubes, JEDEC Trays, Tape & Reel).

Brought to you from the RMV Laboratory, you will see "live" on-screen measurements, videos and Case Histories of widely used materials for Space & Defense and commercial applications. ESD Materials and Packaging are subjected to physical testing, and verified to demonstrate false assumptions often occur. Visual Inspection, Supplier Claims and Technical Data Sheets cannot be relied upon for ESD compliance due to suspect counterfeit materials and Vendor noncompliance. RMV solutions in support of current Space & Defense and commercial requirements will be demonstrated during the Virtual or On-Site interactive training module.

This is a new course for Space & Defense to meet the current and future needs for low RH and extreme environments. Incoming Inspection of ESD packaging and materials includes Type I Moisture Barrier Bags, JEDEC Trays, IC Carriers, Tape & Reel, Counterfeit Grid Bags, Type III Static Shielding Bags, Antistatic Bubble, Foam, ESD & Kraft Corrugated, Vacuum Formed Trays, EMI/RFI Shielding, Special Coatings, Textiles and Hard Cases to verify Supplier claims of ESD protection are presented with live demonstrations in the Virtual training course.

Non-compliant ESD Packaging & Products in the Supply Chain, Catalog/Internet Sales, Supplier Technical Data Sheet reviews, Incoming Inspection proper protocols and solutions for Suspect Counterfeit Material mitigation are demonstrated with actual customer samples. NASA-STD-8739.6.B, Sec. 7, ANSI/ESD S541, MIL-PRF-81705F, MIL-STD-2073 and MIL-STD-3010C, Method 4046 ESD Requirements for packaging are discussed with demos.

New Materials for Packaging Design to Lower Costs and the RMV white paper on the US Army ESD Packaging Study that demonstrated the importance of instrument-driven verification testing will also be presented during this comprehensive short course.
